Trojan Marching Band Impressive Under the Lights

Congratulations to the members of the 2021-22 Trojan Marching Band for a fabulous second performance on Friday night, and the first in full uniform this season. The energy, spirit and musicianship of the Trojan Marching Band was on full display for the community, as the DGN Football team beat ranked Willowbrook High School and secured a 2-0 start.

Appreciation is extended to the volunteers who provided the Marching Band with water during the game, assisted with moving Front Ensemble instruments, and photographed the band's performances.

FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty is to offer students a well-rounded curricular experience that includes exposure to genres of music, theatre, and visual art in a wide variety of creative settings. Program goals that serve as tenets for the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty are: To provide a productive and cooperative learning environment in which students of various backgrounds and ability levels may learn to achieve outstanding artistic results; To intentionally study music, theatre and visual art from cultures and communities that have been historically under-represented; To engage students in a journey toward artistic and personal success at the highest level; To develop in young people the appreciation, discrimination, analysis, and participation skills necessary to become lifelong consumers of the arts.
