DGN Spring Choral Showcase - Thursday Night!

Please join the musicians of the DGN Choirs on Thursday, April 20, 2023 for the DGN Spring Choral Showcase!

The concert, which will feature the music of Broadway / Film composers Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, begins at 7:00 PM in the Clarence Johnson Auditorium of North High School. The concert is free to attend, and doors open for general seating at 6:30 PM.

FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty is to offer students a well-rounded curricular experience that includes exposure to genres of music, theatre, and visual art in a wide variety of creative settings. Program goals that serve as tenets for the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty are: To provide a productive and cooperative learning environment in which students of various backgrounds and ability levels may learn to achieve outstanding artistic results; To intentionally study music, theatre and visual art from cultures and communities that have been historically under-represented; To engage students in a journey toward artistic and personal success at the highest level; To develop in young people the appreciation, discrimination, analysis, and participation skills necessary to become lifelong consumers of the arts.
