Guard and Percussion Mini Camps

Members of the Color Guard and Drumline wrapped up three-days of 'mini camp' practices on Friday as students and staff continue to prepare for the 2018-19 academic year. Thank you to these dedicated band members for their energy and enthusiasm to make this year's Harry Potter themed Marching Band show one of the most memorable ever!

FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty is to offer students a well-rounded curricular experience that includes exposure to genres of music, theatre, and visual art in a wide variety of creative settings. Program goals that serve as tenets for the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty are: To provide a productive and cooperative learning environment in which students of various backgrounds and ability levels may learn to achieve outstanding artistic results; To intentionally study music, theatre and visual art from cultures and communities that have been historically under-represented; To engage students in a journey toward artistic and personal success at the highest level; To develop in young people the appreciation, discrimination, analysis, and participation skills necessary to become lifelong consumers of the arts.
