Text Message Alerts for Band Announced

DGN Band students (and parents) who carry a mobile phone and utilize text messaging services are encouraged to read the following post on our DGN Band's Blog, and to sign up for Band Text Message Alerts.

Standard text messaging rates for the end-user will apply, but you do not need to sign up for any additional subscription service or account.

The Marching Band staff will begin piloting the use of Text Message Alerts this fall for announcements about the Trojan Marching Band.

FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty is to offer students a well-rounded curricular experience that includes exposure to genres of music, theatre, and visual art in a wide variety of creative settings. Program goals that serve as tenets for the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty are: To provide a productive and cooperative learning environment in which students of various backgrounds and ability levels may learn to achieve outstanding artistic results; To intentionally study music, theatre and visual art from cultures and communities that have been historically under-represented; To engage students in a journey toward artistic and personal success at the highest level; To develop in young people the appreciation, discrimination, analysis, and participation skills necessary to become lifelong consumers of the arts.
