North High School endeavors to provide an enriching, vibrant, multidisciplinary environment for the study, creation, and presentation of the Fine Arts.
The philosophy of the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty is to offer students a well-rounded curricular experience that includes exposure to genres of music and art in a wide variety of creative and re-creative settings.
The three program goals that serve as tenets for the North High School Fine Arts Department faculty are: · To provide a productive and cooperative learning environment in which students of various backgrounds and ability levels may learn to achieve outstanding artistic results. · To engage students in a journey toward artistic and personal success at the highest level. · To develop in young people the appreciation, discrimination, analysis, and participation skills necessary to become lifelong consumers of the arts.
