The @dgnbands Jazz Ensemble will play FitzGerald's on Sunday night. Opening for the Chicago Grandstand Big Band from 5 - 6 PM, the Jazz Ensemble is ready for the honor of playing one of the most hallowed and revered rooms for jazz and live music in the nation. Jazz Cafe Preparations / Dan Moffett #WeAreDGN #99Learns

Preparations are under way for this Friday's annual "Jazz Cafe," featuring ensembles from DGN, Herrick, Jefferson, and Westview Hills. This year's guest artist will be saxophonist Dan Moffett, who was on campus today working with the DGN Bands.

You won't want to miss this fabulous night of great music in a casual cafe atmosphere. The concert will begin at 6:00 pm in the DGN Student Cafeteria. Admission is free; donations will be accepted on behalf of the Memorial Peace Garden Project.

@dgnfinearts @D99Orchestra @ChiYSO Students Collaborate With @chicagobulls #99Learns #WeAreDGN

DGN student musicians Tim Edwards, Liam Morgan and Amelia Smerz - all members of the prestigious Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra - recently participated in a special collaboration with the Chicago Bulls.  All three students contributed to the audio recording session, and Edwards participated in the video filmed at the Bull's practice facility.
