2013 Graduation Concert a Sonic Success!

Congratulations to all of the outstanding student musicians of the DGN A Cappella Choir and DGN Wind Ensemble.  Tonight's Graduation Concert was 'one for the books', with memorable performances by both ensembles.  

Special congratulations to senior soloists Erin Elgass (saxophone), Brett Latman (trumpet), as well as Jennifer Luby, who was the featured soprano soloist on Carmina Burana.

Senior Studio & AP Art Show

The Main Lobby is filled this week with amazing visual art as DGN proudly presents the Senior Studio & Advanced Placement Art Show. Don't miss the opportunity to browse and admire the incredible artistic output of the Class of 2013!

Join us for the 2013 Graduation Concert Thursday Night!

The 2013 Graduation Concert will feature the North High A Cappella Choir & Wind Ensemble in a program that will encompass a wide variety of literature and musical styles.  Senior Brett Latman (trumpet) and senior Erin Elgass (alto saxophone) will also perform featured concertos.

The concert will conclude with the band and choir joining forces on Carl Orff's epic masterpiece Carmina Burana.

The concert is Thursday night, May 16th, and begins at 7:00 pm in the Johnson Auditorium.

Outstanding Senior Department Award Winners - 2013

Congratulations to North High seniors Kevin Brinkman (Art) and Erin Elgass (Music) on being names the most outstanding seniors in their artistic disciplines. Kevin plans to attend the University of Arizona, while Erin's academic journey will continue at Vanderbilt University.

2013 Band Banquet, Awards & Dance

Nearly 400 members of the DGN Band family gathered this evening at the historic Willowbrook Ballroom to commemorate the 2012-13 academic year.

Don't miss the 2013 DGN Choral Music Showcase: The British Invasion and Beyond!  The concert will feature the Freshman Choir, Concert Choir, Treble Choir, A Cappella Choir, All Access, and the Acafellas. Orchestra Banquet & Awards

Family and friends of North and South high school Orchestra students gathered tonight at DGN to celebrate the many musical and artistic successes of our District 99 orchestra.

A special thanks is extended to all of the parents who helped make this evening's celebration a tremendous success.

Preparation for 'Carmina Burana' - May 16

Members of the DGN Wind Ensemble and DGN A Cappella Choir, as well as Fine Arts faculty, are hard at work preparing for the May 16th 'Graduation Concert.'  This year's concert will feature independent sets of music by both the A Cappella Choir and Wind Ensemble, and will close as the combined forces perform six movements from Carl Orff's renown work, 'Carmina Burana.'
